Being engaged and soon to be wed is an incredibly special period in a couple's life.

That commitment, that leap, the promise you make to each other to one day be in a union that will last "until death do us part" together - it's so incredibly meaningful that no one needs to be told just how wonderful such an expression of love is - we all know.

Getting a chance to photograph couples during this magical time actually feels like an honour to me.

Not only because the couple has chosen me to help document this incredible point in their lives for them, but also because seeing the excitement, the anticipation, the love, written all over the faces of husbands and wives to be is truly a magical experience for me, personally, to get to be a part of.

I'm not sure there's much I love more than seeing a couple lovingly share the happiness between them. It's an absolute privilege to get to witness.

And in those moments when the world fades away, when I finally disappear into the background and the couple can just be - exactly as they are - when no one is around, well all I can say is that I can't imagine a life experience that's so close to feeling like a fairy tale in real life.

Truly, there just isn't much that can compare to the wonder you feel when you see a couple just about to leap into the most monumental stage of their life journey together.

The smiles on their faces, the light in their eyes, it cannot be compared to nearly anything else I've seen.
